Welcome to my personal portfolio of work, right through from University up to now. Since graduating with a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design in 2008, I worked for Make Studio in Bournemouth for 2 years and after turning down some jobs in London, I decided to open my own boutique design studio with my partner who is an amazing Interior Designer. We formed Candy Black in late 2010 and have been going strong ever since -
Born from a mutual love and appreciation for flair in design, Graphic Designer Jason Rubino and Interior Designer Katie Culley joined forces to create Candy Black. A boutique studio focussing on bringing the latest design concepts to their clients in all fields of graphic, creative direction and interior design.
After transforming a disused bakery into their creative design and photography studio, the duo now work on briefs from clients all over the globe that have a taste for true boutique design.
“After both working for successful companies, it was a dream of ours to create something that was completely different in look and approach - the coalition of graphic design and interiors seemed like an interesting way to merge our creative fields and we’ve been so pleased with the results. Our belief is that anything is possible in the design world - we take pride in meshing new designs with overall funtionality for our clients.”
Bespoke design to carry your company’s message across instantly is what we do best -this is carried through from bespoke typography and logos to fully functional websites and interiors of any size.
